MANUSCRIPT ASSESSMENTS

EXPERT ADVICE FROM A BESTSELLING AUTHOR

I offer a personalised and encouraging manuscript review service, specialising in crime, thriller and mystery novels.

As a bestselling author of commercial fiction, I can look at your novels with a practical, creative and industry-focussed eye. I offer a range of flexible options to help you on your path to publication.

My manuscript assessments offer a constructive and practical appraisal of your work, with an emphasis on both what is working, and where improvements can be made. I make suggestions and comments directly on to your manuscript, and accompany this with an editorial report.

Every novel is different and I’m happy to focus on the areas where you need most help, but as a rough guide I will look at structure, plot, pacing, clarity, style, characterisation, dialogue and presentation.

If you’d like to book an assessment or discuss my services, get in touch using the form below and let me know the number of words, genre, a very brief synopsis and any particular help you would like.

“Working with Holly on my debut thriller was an invaluable experience. Her manuscript assessment was both thorough and insightful, reflecting her experience as a prolific best-selling author. She not only provided detailed, constructive feedback (both at the line level and in a comprehensive report) but also took the time to discuss her suggestions in a Zoom meeting. This experience helped me understand how to elevate my story to the next level, and gave me the confidence I needed to move forward with querrying. I wholeheartedly recommend her to any writer looking to take their work to the next level.” – L.O.
